Example the Captain
Name: Terra Rugha
Age: 38
Gender: Female
Appearance: Hair and clothing style always prone to change. Her eyes have iris shaped like a triangle that are dark brown-red and her pupil is also triangle shaped but have a rich purple color. Her nose is broad but flat, looking much like a cat's nose. Her ears are large but look like they are cut into jagged feathered look. Looks like she might of had a large round shaped ear at one point, but no longer. She has a short tail that extends only to the her knees. Her skin is sandy colored and her hair is platinum blond.
Her body is wiry, thin and she only stands 3'9", and 45 lbs, Average for her people. Her feet arches in the middle and the 3 toes are long but thick looking much like a bird's talon in position. Her hands only have a thumb and two fingers, all thick from callouses. Her arms and calfs are thick with what looks like just calloused skin, about an inch around her actual nerves. In the callouses there are scaring in the form of some kind of ritual pattering.

Bio/History: Not very interesting seeing she grew up in the normal Sindish fashion of hunting and forging. Eventually getting bored she tries as a space explorer and sold her house (which on other worlds the building materials are greatly wanted by those of other worlds.) She bought a ship off the production lines and got a crew together. She set off to treasure hunt after hearing rumors and myths of lost treasures in space.

Personality:Personally: She is fairly level headed and when it comes killing people in cold blood she does not under stand the waste of human resources and is likely to put someone who broke her rules into work. If someone dies on a mission it’s a bit different because it’s a mission and labeled an accident.
She understands the worst thing you can do to a person is to leave them with nothing and send them off on a deserted planet to die or survive with no supplies. She is practical like many desert or people of an icy landscaping.
In her culture there is no difference in the genders and refer to other people by gender-neutral terms. This is unless one is courting another. Leaving to frustration among her and her people when they discovered other races and had translation errors.
She may not be the most diplomatic person but she is not the most violent either. Even so some diplomatic ways her people deal with things is cauterizing a leg off.

Race:(and information on them) Sindish
At first every one thought all of her race were female till people realized that they all look 'female' by normal humanoid standard. Ifs very hard to tell who is female and who is make if your from out side this race seeing all of them have storage sacks in their chest where they hold water and food for storage after eating. Their peopl are a small race but people later found out that their body build is what gives them their strength. Their muscles are highly strung and taunt and they have a strong bone material that makes up their skeleton. And how the race is shaped they learned how to move quickly on all fours for fast transport.
Also it took people a while to realize there was a sentient race living on their ice and sand covered worlds because no one wanted them.

Specialty: Close quarters combat and hunting weapon use.
Strengths: Surviving in extreme cold or heat, able to survive for days with out food or water.
Weakness: Moderate weathers, extremely different bio chemistry (cereal is like crack to her)
Position: Captain

He has a scar over his right eye and several more on his chest and back from past battles he has been in. The chest piece has a optical cloaking unit built into it for easy access.

Personality: First thing anyone could say about Rtfa, is that he has a strong sense of honor and high level of respect for those he allies himself with. Despite this however, he will say right out if something feels wrong to him about a order, mission, etc., which has gotten him scolded by superiors and peers in the past. Apart from this he is fairly easy to talk to and usually has a level headed personality to him, tends to try and avoid talks of his past to not think of the war he took part in. Name: La'vi
Age: 40

Bio/History: Grew up on his planet and slowly gained intelligence as he ate many things.. When finally exposed he ate the person how found him which had a plasma cannon. Hence he ate the man and took the gun. he wandered about (8 years) till he found a ship hiring a crew and volunteered for it.

Name: Bug Sky Hopper
Age: 24
Gender no ones sure
Appearance:
Bug stands two and half feet tall, or five and a half when they use their three foot long tail thick for a boost, and covered in short thick brown fur. Bug has a wing span of four feet, the wing membranes are attached to the arms and down the side of the chest and hips till it meets at the base of the tail. On Bugs hands the pinky and the ring finger are elongated and make up part of the wings ribbing. All the fur is short save a top knot on Bugs head. On the bottom of Bug hands, feet and the pad at the end of the tail there are pads that can produce a thick sticky glue-like substance that allows for climbing and clinging. Bug weights in at a whooping twenty-five pounds pounds. Bug also has large bat like ears and a set of ivory like horn that curve back like gazelle horns.
Bio/History:
Bug is one of the first Krindar to encounter no native life forms. Bug and the rest of the family clan were hunting, jumping from floating asteroid to asteroid when an unknown creature, space ship, descend thorough the thick foggy atmosphere. As the mothers and some of the stronger fighters left for safety Bug and a small group broke away to follow this strange beast. They followed behind it chittering to each other in their native langue as they debated what this new beast was. After following it and it seeming to ignore them they flew in closer and clung to its sides. The skin of the creature felt like no beast they had come across before. They scuttled around it exploring as it came to a stop near one of the asteroids that had been caught in the planets gravitational pull. As it stopped a hole appeared in its side and odd things began coming out of it. As they watched these unknown things descend to the asteroid and began moving about. After this first 'creature' appeared more came ever now and then and soon the Krindar race made official contact.
Personality:
Bug is very curious and loves to learn new things. If Bug is not tending to the ships as the ships head engineer they can be found hunting up space bugs that cling to the ship. Bug is fun loving but has no concept of ownership. If you had Bug something to use briefly Bug will pocket it after using not because Bug is stealing it but because Bug doesn't think about it.
Race:(and information on them)
Krindar race come from a large gas giant. Their bones are hollow but made of a substance similar to carbon fiber making them very durable and hard to break. Do to their race developing on a gas giant they have a very high radiation tolerance as well as heat do to the nature of the core of the planet. Because of the volatile nature of the planet the Krindar are also able to adapt to sudden changes in pressure. On the bottom of their hands, feet and the pad at the end of their tail there are pads that can produce a thick sticky glue-like substance that allows for climbing and clinging to the larger creatures that lived there as well as the floating asteroids that would get pulled in by the planets gravity well.
The diets of a Krindar is what ever you can catch making them able to eat almost anything on their world. Do to the fact that almost nothing can survive on the surface vegetation is very scarce and a delicacy for the little race. They use a method of ambush when hunting utilizing their developed form of echolocation to stun prey long enough to grab it. Another way they hunt is startling their prey using the brightly colored 'eye' marking on the underside of their wings to frighten and heard their prey to a waiting ambush party.
Due to the nature of their home world Krindar are very similar built among male and female making it nearly impossible for other race to tell if a Krindar is male or female with out asking, or if a female is nursing a youngling. Due to the warm nature of their world they have also no concept of clothing. What their equivalent of clothing would be is their jeweler. The race as a whole are expert gem crafters with a love of all things that shine and sparkel. Wee most races would never dream of setting foot outside with out clothes a Krindar would never go out with out their gems. Most people would assume the more intricately carved and the rarer the gem would be a status symbol but its not. The race is very fun loving and easy going as a whole and nothing stays with any one of them for long. Anything that has been in Krindars family for more then three days is considered a family heirloom.
Specialty: Mechanics, sneaking
Strengths: Has a very high heat and radiation tolerance, can cling to anything
Weakness: Bug is very curious, Bug hates the cold
Position: Head Engineer

Strength: 2 able to lift up to 50 pounds
Intelligence: 1
Speed: - 2 when running, 2 when flying
Durability: 2, radiation and heat as well as pressure change
Flexibility: 2
Endurance: 1
Willpower: 3
Dexterity: 1
Energy projection: 3, a sonic scream that can stun and be used for echolocation

Accessories
Armor: None
Weapons: Bug carries around several small dagger hidden in the many pouches, the sonic scream the Krindar race have
Accessories: Bug wears a belt of pouches and leather straps that are worn around the thighs that have more pouches that hold much of Bugs tools and belongings. Bug always wears the necklace, earring and several other shiny things.

Name: Zeide
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Appearance: [Reference Image] Wears a skin-tight nanomesh, mostly of dull greyish blue hues starkly contrast against white and yellow vectors throughout the suit. Appears to have mechanical limbs rigged as high up as his shoulders, finished in a flat matte carbon black with two white chevrons on top of the hands. Can sometimes be seen wearing a dark brown half-jacket with cuffed, short sleeves. Various, intricate markings course throughout the mechanical libs, circulating in varying brighter and dimmer pulses of citrine colored light. The same can be seen on the surface of his nanomesh in places. Wears faded, beige colored pants that wrinkle and stop just below the kneecaps, clipped off by dark brown and black engineer's boots with chromed copper at the toes and heels. Wears a short chain and pewter pendant in the shape of a rectangular reticule and a large zirconium stud in his left ear. His hair is a clean, heavy pile cut atop his head and of pure white. Eyes glow with an identical hue that of the yellowish orange in his armored limbs and his skin appears naturally bronzed.

Bio/History: Zeide, as he calls himself, can remember little of his life before the age of 15 working with a previous crew of pirates that spent their time focusing on small jobs. From what he was explained of since his memory losses, he too was just another pirate caught in the fray of a massive sting operation to clean up metal salvage theft organizations, working weaponry operations, detail, and repairs. But little else was revealed to him. His best friend was a human with spiked and tipped, purple hair named Janus who would look after him. Only until he was 19 did they begin to develop feelings for one another that she was about to reveal more of his past to him when their crew was once again attacked. He was given but one opportunity to escape given by Janus as he watched in mock horror as she was executed before his very eyes. Taking what little chance he had left, he escaped into the depths of space in a single engine skiff where he ended up at a space colony far from the scene. He spent his next couple of years studying the marketing trade, trying to develop his talents in appraisal and the ability to buy and sell in mass yield.

The recent conflict that occurred on board the derelict battleship, the Snow Claw, left him with a serious injury from an arrow to the head. The damage surprisingly wasn't fatal, but the encounter had left Zeide's psionic capabilities severely reduced. However, visions and dreams of his horrific encounter while working with the space pirate crew began to manifest. Since then, he's acquired a fear for dark enclosures and hallucinations.

Personality: Relatively calm and relaxed, but paranoid of the unknown. In spite of his paranoia, his sense of reasoning and desire for progress maintains him to carry on difficult tasks. He can be a little uneasy and somewhat unnerved by his hallucinations, making him a little more hostile and defensive on the draw.

Race: Terran Esper - Sometime in the past century, Terrans began to make stunning advancements in biotechnologies. The Esper is a product of this advancement, capable of reaching into the physical potential of a Human that has long since lay dormant. They are capable of much longer life spans, but due to their taxing demand on their bodies, may at times need cybernetic replacements and enhancements to supplement for the expenses.

Height: 172 cm (5' 6")
Weight: 68 kg (152 lbs)
Specialty: Vehicular and personal weapons repairs and modifications; appraisal and evaluation of prices; vehicular weapons operations
Strengths: Physically acrobatic; Fearless in danger
Weakness: Missing memory; Cautious of others/Paranoia; Fear of dark enclosures; Hallucinations
Position: Munitions Ops. and Maintenance

Stats
Strength: 1
Intelligence: 2
Speed: 1
Durability: 1
Flexibility: 1
Endurance: 0
Willpower: 3
Dexterity: 2
Energy projection: 2 - Short range, short duration

Abilities
Psionic Pulse: A point-blank burst of telekinetic energy that can throw off balance even the stoutest of assailants. Causes no direct harm, but can severely stagger an opponent.
Magnum Strike: The user concentrates on a specific point to raise the potential impact of a melee attack.

Accessories
Armor: Ballistic/thermal resistant nanomesh; Engineer's Boots; Armored Mechanical Limbs
Weapons: Tempered Progression Knife; Vulcan Pistol; Blast Knuckles (Built-in)

New starts are always a welcome thing in my eyes. New Sci-Fi RP, new forum theme, and the premise of the RP is nice and open ended.

Name: B266-Delta Level, nicknamed "Bolts."
Age: Unknown, there is a marking along one ear that says, 'St. Alexberg, '42.'
Appearance: A small equine figure, about the size of a small dog. If a florid red, with long, wavy blue hair. A large red bow bounces in its hair.
Bright green, overlarge eyes are in its comically large head. In its mouth, you can see seams where the armor plating meets. When it walks, there is a bouncing trot, and a hint of music emanates from it, reflecting its mood.
The inner frame and workings are high strength ceramics, with nanofused metallics. The skin is a bioplastic, which slowly grows out to a soft mold about it.
There is a series of force generators inside it that allow it to due amazing feats of strength and manufacture... so long as it is aware. Bolt can force lift a bulkhead, but not lift a bulkhead himself.
Bio/History: Bolts is from an amusement park, possibly as an attraction, or a service bot, maybe both. Technically an it, as gender doesn't really matter to a robot, and sympathetic programming tends to shift the personality subtly to match the situation.
Bolt seems to have been part of the ship deal when the captain bought it. It wanders the halls, keeping the place tidy and clean.
It usually has a high, soft voice, but has slipped into a deep, rough bass when either singing, or trying to convey masculinity.
Personality: Bolt seems to be curious, which is helpful in making it a good technician. Bolt is also outgoing, if a bit snarky, and often focuses on whatever is the busiest place (which often need repair).
Bolt collects bits of paper, often molding them into paper-mache sculptures. He loves to sing, often in his very deep voice. It hates sticky gunk, which it has to wade through, and has a love/hate relationship with anybody who routinely breaks equipment.
Has learned several colorful swears, but has issues with them thanks to his obscenity filter.
Race:Android in the shape of a small pony.
Specialty: Is a technician, able to deal with both mechanical and dangerous jobs. Also has some people skills, if a bit over exuberant. Will try to flee from danger, but can fight with construction equipment built into the body.
Strength: Quick, advanced gear.
Weakness: Not too tough or strong.
Position: Drone.

Strength: -1
Intelligence: 2
Speed: 1
Durability: 0
Flexibility: 1
Endurance: 4
Willpower: -1
Dexterity: 0
Projection: 3

Equipment: Nano Fac
Force Projector in hooves

Can someone please clearly explain just what the fuck just happened to CaptainIsomer's character and mine? Did we seriously just get auto-killed from the game or what?

Well in a PvE campaign getting killed by the game is the most likely way to kick the bucked but if yers and Caps guy had died, Cap death would been Nems doing in an attempt to save face and salvage the situation. But yer both alive do to yer guys unique races so don't sweat it.

Okay, someone explain how my character survives an arrow going through one side of my skull and out another then. Last I checked, that's called instant death. He'd be lucky if he did live only to be lobotomized by the arrow or left severely brain damaged and rendered incapable of any charismatic communication for the duration of the RP.

The very least, I would ask that in the future, you let us know what's going to happen and not do something as severe as this without warning. My character has taken a severe impact on the potential abilities he has and is likely now, horrendously damaged both in personality and powers because you gave him fear (crippling his fearless nature) and eliminating most of his psionic abilities (nullifying energy projection).

I can't help but percieve this sudden act of severely damaging the character in abilities WITHOUT any chance for rebuttal or evasion act of disliking for the character. For that matter, no notice that something was to happen to let me know in advance also shows that you had no care to observe the player's (myself) ideas, plans, or intentions for the character's advancement.

Call it suspicion, but Zincks; you seemed pissed off the last we spoke about my character, if not at least somewhat disappointed. I'm seriously hoping you didn't take my character's actions as a personal affront and took it upon yourself to strike vengeance on him through the RP. Whether you realize it or not, I am in fact a little bothered by the matter because of the aforementioned reasons above.

Please, in advance, I want to talk things out before you carry out some kind of radical change to my characters as it is only fair you inform me of what you plan to do. You being the GM, reserves you the right to whatever decision you make in the RP, but have the courtesy of telling players what sort of dramatic change you plan on making to the player's characters.

you can survive with very minimal brain damage through the forhead but i can say you die if you like since you seem to like that idea so much. Also sci-fy you can bs your way on why that person is still alive. I know this because I have seen a person walking into the hospital once to get an arrow removed. They functioned absolutely fine. And I thought i said it went through as in it is still in there but coming out both sides. Maybe s slight motor impairment but something you can live with. Also I am making the amnesia get lifted were you are starting to remember things. You gave your self amnesia so i will use it as a character plot development. You can gain your fearlessness back of you work through it as a character. You can also take how your character then deals with after the first reaction of things happening. Its also your character dealing with things as you see fit. Nice to see you cant be flexible enough to see how things can bend in your favor. And nice to see you DON'T want to do any character development.

And our talk was me suggesting maybe you might want to do something else and you flat out stated no as why you should . I will not force people just suggest. I was actually ecstatic you refused because i get to implement consequences. Also you were not acting cool and collective, ration as a character from what you placed in your character profile. You panicked as far as i can see. You were not careful around those you did not know. I didn't see stoic I saw anger. You did not follow your character profile.

Also this was a preplanned possibility if a fight broke out and things are not smoothed out, if any one from the crew started the fight... which they were passivised for a moment before you broke and lashed out, before i could post them slowly letting you go... Also almost no one on that ship spoke any trade language and those that had translators on were few and far between. If you want me to say again. Military ship, highly stressed out crew. Rtfa and Bug actually found an affected crew member that attacked them and forgot about all their training. Also you assumed they knew any thing about the systems out side their system. Yes they are known about, but not much is known about them. There was a lot of information that you did not uncover. Also I believe I mentioned, several times, the situation was very tense. I was going to have them murder captain isomer's guy but it got fixed by Nem opening fire on his own crewmate...

This campaign I am actually not telling any one my plans until i post it up in the setting it's self. And you can deal with jumping the gun before I can respond them doing any thing like letting you go. I will not say the outcome of other possibilities because that would lead to a very boring setting. Personally im not pissed im just now very disappointed with you...and Some how I don't think i am the only one who is, from comments in the rp it's self and in the OOC.

You may leave if you wish but realize this campaign has a lot of consequences and this is only the first series of them. Which also means it has rewards. It is like real life pros and cons. If this was a sugar coated rp then there would be nothing to keep people here.

Sorry to be a bother, but many more people then thought have survived severe head trauma!
In fact, most of our basic understanding of the brain came from the large numbers of soldiers out there who were shot and survived, often with minor mental or physical change. In fact, many beleive that Abraham Lincoln would have survived being shot where it not the fact that the doctors began to stir about his brain with metal probes.
That will kill ya.
Also, brain damage does not lead to vegetable as thought, but more often removes or enhances a part of one's personality. One famous case being a railworker in the late 1800s who had a spike fired up through his chin and skull, coming out over the eye. He lived a regular life mostly after that, but was noted to be a much more aggressive man.
Also roleplaying does have a requirement of change to both character and plot as mandated by action. A rogue who doe not find traps will be caught i them, and a diplomat who does not deal with an argument may find himself attacked. This is enhanced in many sci-fi games, as the price of failure is modern weaponry.
As for character problems, there is the issue that some of the characters had conflicting actions. A player who thinks there is a trap will act as if there is one, and Ive seen many game in which the location of a player is directly opposite of what they don't like. Ive had fighter magically appear almost inside monsters, wizards teleport behind cover, and rogues practically travel through time to be at treasure chests. Such irregularities are understandable, nobody wants their character to die, but must be dealt with.
As far as personal opinions, I would have to side with the GM. Although it is a good argument that changes to character should be made by negotiation with the GM, the GM has the right to put forward consequences for characters.
Zeide, sadly, was stuck in some sort of impasse when he started to struggle with the guards. He first was negotiating, then retreating, then fighting, then retreating again. Sadly, this hesitation would put him as a clear target, and the archers seem to have had a wish to take out whatever they can. When faced with a humanoid and a blob, best shoot the humanoid, as the arrows would go through the blob.
Of the two, the blob is actually in worse straits. It will be missing most of its mass and the majority of its memories. It will also lose a great deal of time, and is out of the game for a long while. Even with proper medical attention, the blob character has been irrevocably changed.
As for Zeide, he actually has a opportunity here. I have lost enough characters to know a lucky break, and this could allow Zeide to really expand character wise. Yes, changing a character can be frustrating to a player, I know first hand, but with change comes opportunity. The worst thing for a player is simple refusal, no consequences. Ziede was written as a calculating person, but until now had not been much of such. With this damage to his psyche, Zeide could change to be more in line with his character bio, or could expand into a whole new area.
Strife is opportunity not seized.
Carpe diem. Seize the carp!
Hope this helps.

As I had mentioned on AIM, you've never given my character much of an appropriate situation for his personality traits to become apparent. The other problem I find here is that everyone's expectations of a character seems rather binary; that he's only allowed to emote one sort of mood or mindset like a toddler.

Rationally, and I ask this to anyone; who stands there and calmly and collectively submits to being jumped on and detained for oh say... Absolutely no good reason? What would anyone's natural reaction be? He never retreated, not once. He was investigating everything going on right up until those guards began to "duel" with each other and La'vi felt he had to get in on the action. Being that the two characters are a pair in this conflict, Zeide is hurled completely into hostile circumstances with no other option than to defend, which no one so far has even identified with yet.

Look, I played the cool and collective role very well right up to that point where I made a natural decision when getting surprised. I was remaining calm, diplomatic, and very much in control of the situation right up until that explosive conflict erupted. I had my character react in a normal and reasonable fashion to being grappled and detained. The character saw this as a hostile action and got jumped on. To measure every single action and behavior on Zeide now for this one moment is blind to the entirety of his actions throughout this RP. The way you're perceiving him, Zincks, is drawn off of a personal, and opinion-driven impression, not based on the circumstances of his situation, surrounded by hostiles who suddenly attacked him without probable cause. Think of it outside of your perspective for a minute, place your point of view maybe in his shoes as well, or someone 3rd party of it all.

There hasn't been enough to happen in the RP anyway to make this broad assumption about him; that he was outside the imaginary boundaries you guys wall him in as a perceived personality. Think about it first.

I now stand with a character with half of his powers and a personality change that nullifies his fearless nature. I don't have to say it again, but I will anyway since it's not being taken to heart the first time. An extension of courtesy at informing me that my character will befall some sort of drastic altering is a respectful thing that I would sorely appreciate in the future. You can be disappointed in me all you want, but don't dare try to come off so condescending. It's rude, embarrassing, and disrespectful. Even though there's no disclaimer stating the hard-knocks aim you have with the RP or your methods, I'll work with what you give me and accept. Just don't insult me like this publicly again.

If you wanted more emotion you should of put it in your bio. And their socieity is not your own. It makes scence to them maybe not you, difference of society. You also did not allow me to post what they are doing after he became frozen because i was seeing what other people did. Also capt has very little self control with his character and logically speaking you would of said no.... You could of talked or at lest waited for me to respond after La'vi being subdued you would of been let go but told to leave the ship. Panic and paranoia... the archers already were ready to fire. Only 5 of them shot. But seeing that the men they know from their race are being attacked are going down they are not going to wait after an attack from another outsider. Months of tension, fighting the infected, dealing with politics within their own society. I had this society thought out and they were getting frayed. You and your crew suddenly became enemies when your cremate which you could of told him no to, jumped into the fray.

Warnings: just in the rp

  • (tence)The translator does not seem to easy at being in such close proximity to the Stone Will guard.
  • The Stone Willed woman eyes the translator as they say, "Turn on your translator."
  • I will answer what I am allowed to with an ...outsider
  • But they are foolish men that only think of fighting and that there are danger around every corner. (you were near the Stonwilled)
  • Not many of our people speak the trade language.
  • No one seems overly mingling other then the instceoid ones and the steed bearing ones which people either show a vague reluctance to let them near or an out right dislike but dont shoo the m away.
  • The Commander of the ship indicates La'vi and says it with the utmost distaste in having to address La'vi , as something real.
  • Pausing as they keep a leery eye out even if this is their own battle ship as if there might be enemies.
  • Automatically people draw weapons on La'vi and keep it on him as they attempt to test him but seem very unsure with how to test him.
  • Tein steps back hesitantly as there is tension in the air between the possible commander and a man from a different battle ship.
  • Well we had a mishap seems like one of our more dangerous illnesses got out but no worries it seems like it is under control."Tein makes a noise as if to argue with the leader...
  • The commander smiles pleasantly at them even with his lips twitching in faint show of disgust as his gaze moves over La'vi.
  • "Captain, it would seem the ship's occupied by two factions. Tensions are hot. ...The whole thing stinks of trouble though.
  • The man turns about as he seems to repeatably seems to turn on this translator. He motions for La'vi to repeat him self after motioning for La'vi to turn on the translators.
  • (the threat is real)Then they and a few others get overly aggressive and force him away as they get someone to explain that there are infected people in the rooms. No one seems to want to look directly at the doors to the rooms unless they have to.
  • "Man, these guys look like they're ready to fight at any time...", Zeide thought to himself as he looks back over all the people in the room.
  • It keeps one hand on the weapon and the other moves up to their neck to touch the communication device. They go through several unknown languages before it reaches any of the normal trader cants...."You will have to come with us so you can speak with those in charge. Or we can dispose of you here."
  • (is read out by bug on the com system, later stated by reep) From the last log given to abandoned ship, Bug would have to place it about 6 months ago. They abandoned this ship due to some kind of viral emergency issued by the Snow Claw and many of the passengers dieing to some kind of some kind of illness.....n the maintenance logs it shows that before the medical alert it shows that there was an increase of repairs through out the ship, every time moving up to bigger and important systems.

If you want to know about consaquences in rps i can easily bring some up.
1. (DnD) Me as a GM allowed a book to be used. Within minutes i had to deal with a drug war i was not ready for. I did not pull back the book from getting stumped, I addapted)
2. Kith-kira Gurps. I gave my character amnisa do it does not remember the first 20 years of it's life. I ended up accused of murder my guy does not remember doing, royalty directly against them and they can't leave the place. I also over stuffed my self because my character never knew freedom or any thing out side their cave. They also got ruffied and i lost my character for a while. I was saved by other players at that point. I could of lost my character right there.
Later because of an ability i took to change between the genders the GM took that and told me I had to kill a side. So I had the poet kill the warrior. Ended up with a very distraught man for a session before i got told the other side is still alive and had to make the one character into two. I also took short temper and nearly got killed a number of times but rolled just well enough not to die. A lot of the short temper disadvantage almost killed me and would of if i was alone.
3. Again I had another aminsa character, Pip. Who was following about someone who thought they were God. But i had nasty memory triggers at unfortunate times which lead to my character getting knocked out or restrained. But because of the oath the player characters had with each other it was we had to watch out for each other even if mine had to choke out the other one who was a berserker.
4.DnD My drow guy. I had no say in him going insane, the GM took it from me and told me I had to play my character by how my GM said so when they gave me the list of freak outs. I have to go into a frothing rage when i saw those of my own race, and i was terrified of women and the mention of certain words. I never got to play him sane because we couldn't restore his wisdom by the point it ended. He was the one people thrusted out for distraction when the group needed it.
5. Warhammer 40K Regis- tech preist. He started out as a missionary, got accused for heresy, for selling weapons to the enemies. He got dragged into bar fights he was avoiding, had mobs after him and his group (that he did not call on him self), He has been disassembled twice, He has had violent possession where of voices in his head of the man he worked for and the brother that blew him self up (Psyonics are a bitch with mind rape), He has had a psychotic break down the lead to the death of several people (the gm took control there), His other brother is trying to kill him. A player has tried a number of times trying to rape him or at least molest him, he got torured by an alien race after being opened up, He got used as target practice as a part of a god tried to kill him. He has lost his legs several times, his own party member has disabled him in a critical time twice. He had space marines after him, blown up once, the man he worked for disassembled him, he ran into deamons, dead babies, assassins, has been forced to get drunk, Attacked by pretty much ever side on his own side. He had to deal with exposing corruption with death threats against him that he only got away because of very few ablities he had. He got marked by chaos at one point, rouge psykers have been after him and his group, Multapile betrayals, something he considers a god nearly killing him for information. This is all i can remember at this time. Every session he gets at least 3 horrible things per 4 hours of table top gaming. And only two times for the last real time year where he could relax.

These are only a few examples. I am leaving out most of the shit my characters have been through and this is not even half. Stop whining for one character. I never got a warning either. If you want more examples of shit happening talk to Horizonblue and Reep.

Also you can PM me not put it in OOC

Dude.... If you didn't want to have things happen to your character go play with kids.... Oh wait they can do shit too. You do realize this could of been much worse right.. I see this as generously kind... And if you didn't want this public why bring me into this and put it on the OOC.....Kind of a bitch move to bring it there then complain about it.

I lost all my memory but 1.25% of it. All which I will never get back unlike you. You gave the gm a toy, your 15 years of missing past.
OptimalZelda nearly died in this rp to turret fire.
Bug probably came really close to death by mauling from what ever was in the bridge of the ship she was on. I could be very wrong in my therory
I probably was going to die... The GM/Admin told me after the fact I would probly die, hell's bells I expected it from my guy. I just was baffled I was not stopped by my partner. I didn't mind but I was just baffled because i thought the smart one would stop the stupid one.
Cash stayed out of the fighting and dangerous areas by sticking out of the massive dangerous areas, and might of been blown out of the sky if they could find him. And Yumi's person well not a lot of action came from her.

Personally with paranoia, I would of relaxed with what they said since I'm on a battle ship with high tension, full of what appears to be military men, that are wound the fuck up, under protocols of some kind to keep their own a live which most do don't seem to agree with, and those nearest you that you have seen are sleep deprived (Stupid choices on their side. Period). I do not know the standing of the men in question when it comes to civilians of another nation which could potentially be kill for any reason and not put in a room, seeing our crew has an unknown number to them. You said paranoid.....Where was that with the thinking mind....

(Still working on him)

Name: Sonny
Age: Physically, he appears to be in his 20s.
Gender: Technically male.
Appearance: Sonny is unusually tall, at over 6 feet, and though he appears to be frail, there is great strength within his frame. Sonny has light purple skin, with short white hair that appears to be slicked back, and a gentle face with solid green eyes. Like most of his race, Sonny also has a metal projection on his head: in his case, a small metal horn.
Bio/History: The first thing Sonny remembers is waking up in a scrapyard with no memory of who he was. One of the workers found him laying in a pile of junk, asking "Hey, sonny. You okay?" He asked if "sonny" was his name, but the disgruntled worker merely pulled out of the pile, and fixed him up before sending him on his way. Sonny would later find a holo-recording in his person. A middle-aged man appeared on it, telling him, "Son, you're too young to understand this right now, but I did what I did for the best of reasons. Very bad people are after you, and I've erased your memories to keep you safe. I'll understand if you hate me for this, but one day, you'll discover your true purpose. And when you do, you'll change the galaxy." It wasn't too difficult for Sonny to find work as a mechanic at a starship depot, and when Terra approached several workers including himself, saying she needed a mechanic, he happily accepted.
Personality: It's pretty hard to hate Sonny; he views the world around him with an almost childlike innocence, and is quick to earn the friendship of most people around him.
Race:(and information on them) CAST: A race of androids with their own government, CASTs are as widely varied in appearance as humans are.

Specialty: Ranged weapons and covert ops.
Strengths: Since he's an android, Sonny is immune to nearly all biological diseases and other weaknesses that can affect humans and other carbon-based lifeforms, and he does not require life support to function. He's also amazingly proficient at repairing all kinds of machines.
Weakness: He's a bit easy to take advantage of, and because he's an android, he's vulnerable to technological hazards such as computer viruses, certain levels of energy discharges, remote control shutdown devices, or through use of his "off switch."

Under the circumstances I will be retiring La'vi into a canister but he will still be on ship. We need a diplomat or social character on the ship since we lost the one we had for now.

Name: Jedia Mitheras
Age: 33 assumed
Gender Female
Appearance:
5’10”, 220 lbs
She is a wiry woman, with ruddy skin that has a pallid complexion. Her long straight hair is black and her eyes are jade green. Her Angular Arrays are shaped to look like stylized fins that come up from rectangular device behind her ears. They flair up when she is accessing the arrays. She as minimal show of mechanics in her face where only the faint traces of her cybernetic eye from the slivers of metal and the red glow from the eye. She has slender show of mechanical enhancements in her fleshy arm where the metal show, and her other arm is 3/4th robotic with false skin over the hand, containing xeno weaponry inside it. Her second set of arms, are fully mechanical and attached to her Cyber mantel, much like her mechadendrites. Where the metal shows through she has tried to make it as natural as she can or artistically as one can with metal and flesh. Her legs show where they have been enhanced and have cybernetics to deal with the added weight. The tell tale of mechanical enhancement move up through her torso to keep her body strong for the cybernetics.
She has a detachable facemask, which she can remove completely but she prefers not to if there is no reason to. All of her Cyber enhancements are slender or more trim then where she comes from but still adds a large amount of weight to her body due to all the metal.
She has a bar code on the inside of her wrist, which is always hidden by jewelry or cloth. If asked about it she will talk of procedures of a mind wipe. It is to mark her as having one.

Bio/History:
From her past she knows her mother’s name was Starr, and her father’s name was Magnus who was a tech priest. She remembers having three brothers, Mar who is a deceased guardsman, Scab who is an arbitrator, and Frastus who was taken to be a Imperial Psyker. Also, that they all lived on a hive world in the Imperum. But this is all from a book she had after coming to. She knows that someone went through it and ripped out pages of parts of her past, most likely the last group of people she worked for erasing their tracks or her self for whatever reason. In the back of the book someone left a note of “Its for your own safety that you got mind wiped. “ There were some people and coordinates that she went to and got some fragments of her pervious life but there were still massive chunks missing from her memories.
She knows she is from the Cult of the Mechanicus or the tech priest of her section of Space, and that she seems to be a diplomat that has a natural gift for body modifications and security. She also knows that she was about 27 years old, give or take a year, when she lost then regained some memories that were saved elsewhere but seems like someone was good at covering their backs as well as out thinking her. She believes there is 12 years of absolutely no mention on her life from what she can gather. At least with 15 years of her life there were small mentions of her life, not a lot but there was at least some fragments.
She left the system despite the obvious warnings and notes of that might be a bad idea. She caught a ride to a system out of the influence of her people, through bartering on a trade ship. She upgraded some of their security and provided physical relief that her augmented body was skilled at.
For the next five years she was traveling as a companion and security consultant, as well as acting as a mediator for political parties that required an in between. She Learned quickly that with some races a show of force was a better diplomatic move so she went in with modifies security bots that she her self upgraded as well as upgrading her self to deal more with threats if her bots are taken down. After those five long years she met up with a fairly short captain and found that they some times required a more diplomatic person on board and offered her services. So far she has been off and on for two years. She despises La’vi and his tactics for opening fire and him invading her space.

Personality: She does not talk much about her family or past because she does not truly remember them, only stories of what people have told and shown her of her missing past.
She is polite and will research those of the races that she will be in close communication with so she may know their manners. She keeps up with the local politics of aliens she will be in contact with and keep up on the local customs to place those she will be talking with at ease. She does not look forward to aggravating people and would prefer if situations do not come down to fighting. She will work with very little emotion showing but she is still quite human and will succumb to emotions if they get out of her control. She understands how to speak like someone with a dirty mouth but if it comes to it she can but it is not a natural thing for her unless she is messing with something that affects her body movement or her security bots. As for dealing with seduction, she knows how to use what she naturally has to tantalize those interested in human females.
She is very attached to her security bots and they all seem to have genders and names. Most of her bots also seem to have some ‘fleshy’ parts from those that have given up around. If asked about this she says it is a tradition of her people to make those no longer useful, useful.
She also loves her particular art, which is scrimshawing. She does get touchy if someone breaks her art on purpose. With her bar code she gets cold and technical when talking about it. She does not seem to enjoy it being brought up.

Name: Manny Rickerts / callsign "Kirin"
Age: 54.
Gender: Male

Appearance: 6'3", built like a fat bear. Grayish hair cut short and combed over. Wears a large flak jacket with several pockets over a thick black sweater, as well as a pair of dark blue jeans cinched with a belt made of what appeared to be someone's tail.

Bio/History: Born in the capital of Azarel Prime, the landing world of the Azarel Syndicate. Developed a love for flight early on after his father, a pilot as well, took him on a joyride in a small civilian craft around the towering spires of Azarel's largest city. At the age of 15, he began flight instruction at an out-of-system school for human pilots recommended by the Azarel government. Typically, at 18, he would have signed up with the Azarel Air Force and would have been first in line to join the Azarel Sky Crawlers, the top space-borne fighter squadron in the force, were it not for a friend of his, second in class, jealous of his achievement, and one day, after tricking Manny into getting rip-roaringly drunk, then tricked him into signing a contract to join a multi-species mercenary space force. That night, a pair of dark-suited men dragged him, still drunk, and sent him to the Black 88, the mercenary carrier ship that he was signed up for.
For the next 18 years, Manny would serve alongside other species, whom he would berate and put down at length - at least, until he found out that they'd be covering his back. Since then, he's learned to trust them after countless engagements with other armies. One day, the Black 88 received a transmission from Azarel to attack a key anti-Azarel coalition battleship stationed not too far from Azarel Prime. Once that engagement was over, the Black 88 was under attack by Azarel forces - they were used as a scapegoat to both provide an excuse to destroy the coalition battleship and to maintain the tenuous peace between the coalition and Azarel.
Within that force was the Sky Crawlers. Within the Sky Crawlers was the man that betrayed Manny. Within him, in a few moments after the Black 88 sent out its fighters, was the full armament of Manny's fighter. However, the Black 88 would soon fall, its members being scattered among the stars.
18 years passed, and Manny has jury-rigged his small, Azarel-built fighter into housing a complete life support system, sealing the secondary armament chamber and modifying it to carry food, drink and other necessities. He worked on and off, doing odd jobs and occasional solo mercenary work - having your own ship capable of both atmospheric and interstellar flight did you pretty well against desert tribes armed with nothing more than gunpowder small arms. The ship has still been damaged over time, however, and is on its last legs. Last he was seen planetside, the ship required extensive atmospheric sealing.

Personality: Carefree. A bit(read: VERY) cocky at times, and occasionally abrasive towards others. Likes drink, food, and song. If he likes you, boy, you've made a friend for life. Works well with damn near anyone, though a bit cautious around those he believes can't be trusted. With those he regards as less than friends and more than enemies, he holds in passive impartiality to quiet caution. Mostly got rid of his typical Azarellian xeno-hate - except for Silurians. He just can't trust them - they're as duplicitous towards humans as their females are HOT.

Race:(and information on them) Azarellian Human:
A branch of humanity which retained a strange and often troublesome tendency towards humanocentrism. Based on the planet Azarel, named for its ambitious (yet rubbish) exploration crew - ambitious in that they pretty much subjugated the planet and the system at large, rubbish thanks to the fact that they just made humans VERY unpopular in that sector and ignited a massive war that ended in a tenuous ceasefire. Still has intermittent skirmishes, though - the Azarel government decided to hire out mercenaries to fight against the unified non-human races under a false flag operation, occasionally using them as scapegoats and killing them to maintain appearances. As it is, the war is still going on, with xenophobic propaganda being blared at those who still bother to stay in Azarel territory - and despite the despotic government of the Azarel Syndicate, life is still pretty good down there - most of it being funded by massive economic expansion preceding and following every major military operation. As it is, both the Unified Forces and Azarel are cautiously building up their forces while maintaining facades of peace(HA) and friendship(DOUBLE HA).
Other than rampant xenophobia, the state emphasizes servitude towards the nation and humanity at large, and as such, by the age of 18 standard, one must either be in training or actively working at an approved profession or be drafted into the military - appropriately enough for the society, the military is the most popular choice. Second would be their manufacturing, famous for making armaments en masse in somewhat mediocre quality, yet with tons of replaceable, interchangeable parts and built to last, to boot. Some in the government sell outside to other human settlements for cheap, making a pretty large profit in both monetary and technological advance.
Most Azarel technology is based on modular frames - a tractor can easily be modified into a tank or an all-terrain troop carrier with the proper attachments. Likewise, their ships can easily be shifted from civilian service to speed and performance to even military use - mainly just by adding an extra engine or weapon. In a pinch, certain modular pieces - most notably, the weapons - can be used outside a modular frame at less effectiveness, due to lack of a more powerful source of energy. Those with ties to Azarel industry enjoy the benefit of having a fleet of whatever they need at the time, just by doing a quick part replacement. Those outside Azarel's jurisdiction, however, don't fare as well, as exports are few and far between.

Specialty: Interstellar and atmospheric tactics, interstellar, orbital and atmospheric dogfighting.
Strengths: Dogfighting and piloting in general, bit of boxing. Tendency to learn quickly.
Weakness: Azarel Humanity has a reputation for being complete jerks to the universe at large and plastering the Azarel name damn near anywhere they please.
Position: Fighter/Scout Pilot

Strength: 2
Intelligence: 2
Speed: 0
Durability: 0
Flexibility: -1
Endurance: 2
Willpower: 2
Dexterity: 2
Energy projection: 0

Accessories:
Armor: Flak vest, heavy boots
Weapons: Azarel-pattern heavy energy pistol, monomolecular utility knife, steel wrench, a special piece of his last and longest-lived fighter the "Lonely Chaser" in the form of a modular laser cannon
Accessories: Flask, lens cleanser and cloth, specialized sunglasses for near-star travel, spare chargeable pack for pistol, rucksack filled with personal effects and two changes of clothes.
