As part of every gamer's life cycle, they wish to GM. Unfortunately, my timer has gone off.
Anybody want to join?

Here are the two basic ideas:
A Cozy-style mystery about a murder aboard a space elevator. Think of Clue in space.
or
A crew of a messenger wagon. Think of Wells Fargo mixing it up in Middle Earth.

The rules would be simple. I give you a problem, you come up with a solution. The more creative, the better! Unimaginative ones simply solve a part of the puzzle. Crazy ones lead to complications. Downright stupid ones lead to... fun?
Example time!
Problem: a gnoll with a blunderbuss holds up the wagon.
Clever: Threaten to break the safe key. get let through.
Unimaginative: Run over gnoll. He's dead, but his buddies aren't...
Crazy: Challenge to a dance-off. At least they're distracted...
Stupid: Leap off of coach. You will miss those legs...

Each campaign will have real life time limits. I will give the final date of each. The faster you guys are on your toes, the more we dance, okay?

I'll explain the setting more as time goes into this poll. The poll itself will be ending by the end of this month. Each of these campaigns will last into mid may, then be wrapped up or prepped for a sequel.
Hope you all enjoy, I know i'm looking forward to this.

Few quick tips...

1. If it's over a paragraph, it's probably too long. I want this campaign to run quickly and posts to be short and to the point.
2. Characters will start in close proximity so have a good way of communicating with each other.
3. Any action is better than no action.
4. Time limits are non-negotiable.

Otherwise looking forward to great success, very nice!

Dark Heart: AKA the fantasy setting with them wagons in it.

Synopsis: 100 years ago, the Empire ruled over the continent of Rurn, a massive state of duchies and counties ruled by an elected Emperor. An ancient country, the state had been in decline the past half millennia as smaller states came to the fore. Still a center of culture and a military powerhouse, it was affectionately called the 'old man' of the continent.
Over a century ago, the kingdom came under the leadership of young Ranfold II, a man of vision who wished to revive his country. Some muttered his revolutionary stance, but many looked forward to his rule. For a decade he labored at modernizing his kingdom, freeing the serfs and funding the arts and sciences. He worked hard to close the gap between the Eastern Orthodox and Western Radical churches.
For a decade he labored, but little came out of it. Nobles rebelled, peasants revolted, and priests fought. He seemed worn and weighted by his office. It looked that the load of state would put Ranfold in an early grave.
If only the world were so lucky...
In court, Ranfold met Lady Madnae and fell in love. Her sharp wit and dark beauty stole his heart. Better still, she held out the promise to make the beleaguered Empire the strongest state in the world. Ranfold, mad with love and sick of the intrigues of his court, gave her every thing she asked.
Many wondered what she did with the 'bride's maid' she asked for, a young blind girl. A few even caught wind of the artists she was hiring, dwarven masons and controversial artists from around the Empire. For a year she labored in the dark catacombs under the Imperial Palace. Only the Emperor and the workers ever saw what she was making. They marveled at its beauty, the careful craftsmanship, the curving lines. Most saw only glimpses of shapes, all to their eyes beautiful.
But the priests muttered.
The peasants made their wards.
The scholars furrowed their brows and pondered at the intertwining figures of beastly men and women, citing it as some ancient temple. If only they could have read the names.
On the new year, under a dark, red moon, the Emperor was to marry his bride and show the world the resurrection of the empire. When the crowds gathered, the dark Lady opened up the chamber for all to see. She showed them her true name. Her true form.

The chaos of that night is an indelible mark on the world. The wound Lady Madnae left in the world oozes to this day a poison that sickens the trees and warps the wildlife. The Empire was given new, fell strength and still clings to the damned center of the continent. Only two things are known about that damned sepulcher of a city.
The Emporor still sits, slumbering, on his throne. The roses that have overcome his recumbent form are as red as blood. Next to him, whispering in his dumb ear, lays the real Lady. She now coils about him, holding tight her power.
That is the world we live in.
Those are the things we must fight...

Fragmented Frontiers: Space Opera meets Film Noir

Synopsis: The year is 2673 AD. Humanity, like chaff in the wind, has spread in all directions from our little solar system. Gone are the dreams of a unified humanity, ensuring our survival but damning our hopes for power. Millions of nations make of human space, the old tribal heart still beating, and they have aligned themselves amongst major spheres of culture. The largest, and strongest of them, is the Solar League. Made of social moderates and conservative states, the Sol strive for balance in an ever changing galaxy. Spread across over a hundred systems, they strive to bring morality and philosophy together to create a haven for humanity.
The Sinar Bio-Revolutionary Hegemony, on the other hand, strives to transcend the problems of humanity's ill by pantropic means, to literally shed our human limitations in genetic ascension. To them, humanity has reached its height, only surmountable by Post-humanist means. Though made of civil castes, the Sinar promise freedom from want to all who would leave behind their petty forms.
The Kuttoz Universty-States make the third major block of humanity. Through an uninhibited pursuit of knowledge, they have ascended into a infocratic state. Free from the petty bonds of morality, they embrace logic as the guide for all human ills, and knowledge the tools. They every day shed more and more of their weak, passionate selves to better meld with the technological wonders they make, hoping to make the human mind eternal.
These three spheres strive against each other and the myriad threats about them. The mysterious USSC, the savage Lopa, the ancient Garren, the awesome Dragons, and the teeming masses of humans who refuse to serve any side.
This galaxy, for all its wonder, hold many dangers.
The stars themselves hold our futures...

As requested, here are three more options as settings!
This is the First.

Ashen Sky: Fallout meets Tolkien during the Great War.

Synopsis: For the last decade, the news of the war between the Altair Republic and the Confederated Socialists was something read about in papers and seen in news reels. Maybe your country was neutral, maybe you were part of the Altain Royal Accord or the CS Federation of Sympathizers. For the last decade, the war was distant.
Two months ago, that all changed. In four hours, all communication with these countries degenerated into static and bursts of military chatter. A day later, only the frontiers communicated with the outside world. Thousands streamed over the borders, many mangled and warped by unknown forces. Within a week, most the world's governments had declared states of emergency as economies crashed and panic spread. You were called those days to serve. Some of you went willingly. Some of you were forced at gunpoint to fight your own countrymen. Within a month you had been pressed through basic training. You were given the yellow bands of the Mercy League, the international community's forum for peace.
It is the last two weeks on a ship, and the few days through the country, that makes you realize were you are. Haunted refugees, glass-eyed soldiers, and hastily raised trenches and cordons raise your worst fears.
Magic, on a massive scale, was used in this war.
According to your briefing, the two superpowers broke every convention in Just Cause Warfare to wage their battles. Massive concentration camps have wiped out the majority of the dragons of these lands, force to breed, labor, and die for the war effort. Civilians were forced to take Elan-Vital, becoming twisted trolls and fight. Rights were stripped and dissenters silenced. Worse of all, however, was the use of forbidden magic to open holes to somewhere, twisting the landscape and spewing thaumatologically contaminated brimstone into the sky.
To the horror of all, many soldiers, civilians, and leaders of the two nations survived, only to continue the war that have destroyed their nations.
You are the ones who must right these wrongs. Though not your war, this is still your world. Time to climb the trenches. Time to let the merciful sun shine!

Nunber two!

Laws of Humanity: Regular detectives working in a world with super-heroes.

Synopsis: For as long as Man can remember, a few have been given the power to wield great supernatural powers. In the renaissance, scientists and alchemists added to these ranks. Supers are a fact of life, affecting history.
In total, there is maybe 100,000 super heroes on earth as of 2015 CE. Most are super soldiers and psychics, working for countries, churches, and megacorps. About a hundred draw their powers from things beyond our understanding.
Thankfully, you stand between their power and the unpowered masses.
You are ordinary humans, but with cool toys. Drawn from the FBI, CIA, M15, and other western intelligence and security forces under the NATO banner. You are Special Investigation Services agents, sworn to keep the law true for everyone, even those who can bend steel bars.
Here is your problem: the communist powers fell much more messily in this timeline. China collapsed in 1976, while the Soviet Union splintered in 1982. The only thing that stopped these giants from dragging the world down with them was the KGB's White Section, also called the Tunguska Ministry or Section 12. With a quarter of the world's supers at their command, they quietly took over the sagging nations and remade them as metahuman oligarchies. Now, the Psychic Communist Collective controls a third of the world in silent isolation. In their quiet cities, white garbed sentinels gently guide the population with the gestures of their hands and the whispers in their minds.
The West is guided by the US led NATO, the French led EU, and the English UK. They stand to keep the delicate balance between the vibrant West and the quiet East.
Pack your rayguns, pick up the scanners, and heft an energy shield. Its time to cross the Psi Curtain.

Numbah three!

The Knightsgate Massacre: Sherlock Holmes versus a Rahksha.

Synopsis: Britain ruled the world.
Britain commanded the waves.
Britain just got screwed...

"It is the year 1847 of Our Lord. A great occasion, the East India Company has just defeated the Sikhs in India. Thousands of soldiers return to London victorious, although there are rumblings of another war already. Most exciting of all, however, are the great spoils of war brought to the Museum of London. Greatest was a barbaric statue made in the shape of some voluptuous goddess. (It be recommended by the Church that those of more genteel persuasions not tarry long about this fearsome visage!)
"It is noted that some of the visitors have complained of odd sounds and smells about the statue. Some even have sworn she was moving! Such foolery aside, museum officials have reported several incidents in and about the grounds. Most notable was the recent death of a street child on Langer Lane. Constables believe it was mauled by dogs after his death."
-The London Gazette, March 17th, two days before the Wakening...

Well, guys, times up.
Sadly, didn't get enough feed back, so consider the campaign couched for now.
Maybe next year, eh?
And don't worry, I will be working on more stuff...
Toodles,
