Yup you all guessed it, a LoZ rp. Zincks is helping run this thing. Anyway, down to business. This rp will take place during the 7 year gap in which Link was sealed in the Temple of Time in Ocarina of Time. In the gap all anyone knows is that Ganondorf invaded the land and took over. Expect plenty of fighting against the dark forces that is Ganon's monster horde and Gerudo minions. You can be hylian, zora, goron, deku, or maybe even one of the monsters in Ganon's horde. A good example would be like a high ranking Stalfos or Lizalfos. Even a mighty Iron Knuckle. The story is still kind of a skeleton story, it will begin in Hyrule market for a few people. At a certain point in the story, players can try to help stop the corruption of the temples in hyrule to prevent them from falling to Ganon's evil powers.

Appearance: 5' 5'' tall with a basic zora build. On each side of his head are a set of 2 fins that go down to a point making him look like he has hair. He has a few piercings on each of the fins. He wears a tattered waterproof leather vest. He carries with him a bag that a light suit of fish scale armor made with waterproof leather. He has a spear holstered to his back that he uses for fishing and fighting. One his ankles are fish scale greaves. He carries a couple of water containers with him for drinking and/or pouring on his body to keep himself wet.
Background: He is a Zora fisher and sells his catch in Hyrule Castle Town, along with whatever other junk he finds while fishing. He fishes in Lake Hylia and is friends with the fishing hole owner there, whom he shows his catch to and brags about jokingly before heading off to sell it. He doesnt think too highly of his king who just sits around all day.
Personality: He is cocky and highly competitive. Willing to accept any challenge thrown at him just to show that is better at whatever he is challenged to. He claims to be the fastest swimmer amongst all of the Zora people. He hates to lose and doesnt take defeat too well.

Equipment
Armor: Light waterproof leather and fish scale armor.
Weapons: A zora-made spear, a pair of light leather/fish scale greaves and gauntlets for his hands and feet.
Accessories: A fish net bag he uses to carry around the fish he catches to trade in Hyrule town market, a shell necklace and some 'ear' piercings.

Appearance: About 2' 10" with brownish red hair, and purple-dark blue ringed eyes. In stead of normal looking Kokiri clothing he has green and black leather clothing that is meant for travelers, With a modified vest to hide his fairy. He has brown leather boots and a small traveling cloak with a hood. He has a rather worn traveling pack and a worn looking sheath that contains a dagger which he uses as a sword. He also has a batten looking wooden shield that looks like it hasn't gone through fights as much as possible use as a sleigh. He no longer has a hat to keep his ear length hair back but a bandanna.
Background: He left his village when he was about 20 years old to prove a point to the other Kokiri's. He left the forest then came back and the others thought he never left. Throughly pissed he left the forest vowing to his friends that he would never return. He has spent the last 20 years stealing from people as a pickpocket and breaking into people's houses, mostly only to get by and for fun. There were a few days from time to time where he just is quiet and not being a misfit.
Personality: Is a bit of a thrill seeker, and has a impish personality. He is the one that doesn't always think about what he is about to do and thinks quick on his feet when in danger. He prefers not to stay and fight due to his small size and lack of strength to stand up to larger people. He is quick on his feet tho and will use his speed to his advantage. Can be very rash and sometimes starts fights he cant finish.

Equipment: worn traveling pack, lock picking tools, Head band.
Armor:Green and black leather traveling cloths. Wooden shield, and traveling cloak.
Weapons: dagger, slingshot

Background: The son of a blacksmith who makes weapons and armor for the Hyrule Castle Guard, Irvine joined the Castle Guard himself a couple of months ago because he felt that he could do some real good as one of Hyrule's finest, and also because he wanted to travel. It's not quite what he expected, though, and he's been bored out of his mind lately, patrolling the streets of Hyrule Castle Town. He's considering quitting soon and following his childhood dream: becoming an adventurer and helping to rid the land of evil.
Personality: Irvine is an everyman kinda guy. He's a nice person to be around, and not above the occasional joke. When push comes to shove, however, he is quick to act to protect his friends and the innocent.

Equipment
Armor: When on-duty, he wears standard-issue Castle Guard armor. When he's off-duty, he wears chain mail under his shirt, and a buckler emblazoned with the crest of the Royal Family.
Weapons: Irvine uses a two-handed steel sword, but thanks to his training, can wield it with one hand if he needs to.
Accessories: Metal shoulder-pads, knee-pads, and Adult's Wallet.

  • Elemental enchantments - Irvine's mother is a magician who has some standing with the Royal Family. As such, she has taught Irvine how to temporariliy enchant his sword with various elements, such as fire, ice, etc.
  • Boomerang Blade - Irvine's mother also taught him a spell that allows him to throw his sword like a boomerang.

Appearance: She was deeply tanned skin an vivid bright red hair. She has a few gems that adorn her hair. On her shoulders an upper back she has tribal tattoos that end mid back. She wears dark brown and gray cloths an a dark gray brown cloak.
Background: She was the youngest of her sisters an was often treated much harsher to make sure she didn't get soft. At the age of 16 she left to find her own way an get out from under her sisters. She an her horse Misty left to find their own way an some fun.
Personality: She is very direct an blunt. She is rough an is hard to get along with cause she keeps pushing people away but then in her line of work it is always hard to make friends an she has been burned many times. Though for those that look past her harsh out side she is loyal.

Background: Merchant in Hyrule Town before the disappearance of the Princess. He is still a merchant now, though is greatly troubled by recent events.
Personality: Polite and formal: He knows his place in society, and is fine where he is at. He will remain neutral in almost every affair he can, prefering to avoid conflict.

  • Merchant's Hunt - Can often purchase items for notably cheaper than others, as well as sell them for more
  • Seller's Neutrality - Seeing as he "just sells stuff", his presence is a bit less likely to attract Ganondorf's ire.
  • Paychest - Ben is the only one with a key to his pay chest. This, in turn, makes it highly encouraged for his comrades / all greedy persons nearby not to let him be taken away against his will.

Appearance: Daru looks pretty much like your average Skull Kid, bark-like skin, clothes made out of tough and durable plants, but when it comes to his face, he’s a bit different. Unlike his kin, Daru lacks the signature glowing eyes and “beak.” In fact his face seems like utterly featureless darkness, save for a seem that is barely noticeable until he smiles or otherwise opens his mouth. When he smiles it can be rather creepy as his teeth shift between a normal Hylian’s and fangs, sometimes while you look at them.
Background: Daru’s memories of what he used to be, or if he ever was anything but a Skull Kid, are long forgotten; a fact which never really bothered him. He’s quite content to while away the time playing his didgeridoo, fiddling with herbs and other various plants, or pranking people. Daru often accomplishes his mischief by dawning a tunic, trousers, and various other clothes and putting on a convincing mask crafted by his own hands. This was the case during one of his bigger pranks when he snuck into a magician’s house and stole one of his darker looking books.
Personality: Lazy by nature, Daru tends to goof off and cause mischief but never half-asses anything he thinks is fun.

  • Keen Nose- can identify things and creatures by scent and can track stronger smells
  • Magical Mayhem- thanks to the books he has stolen and a latent talent for it, Daru is capable of casting a growing list of spells.
    • Shadow Rift- can travel via shadows, be they his own or anything else's, and darkness.
  • Shadowsight- can see in the dark

Race: Poe/Iron Knuckle

Appearance: As a Poe, he has the typical ghostly Poe appearance. His Iron Knuckle body, looks like any typical Iron Knuckle but with a few differences. Them being the color of the armor which appears to match those of the Hyrule guards, but a tad rusty. The 'eye holes' in his helmet glow certain colors depending on his mood. Red being angry, yellow for annoyed(which he mostly is), and light greenish color for a calm neutral state(very rare for him to be like this). He keeps his Poe lantern hidden in the armored body for protection.
Background: Many long years ago, the 'Baron' was a high ranking soldier in service of a previous king of Hyrule. He was well known and well respected in his days amongst the soldiers and guards of Hyrule. His service to kingdom came to an end when his band of soldiers were ambushed on Death Mountain by a large group of Lizalfos. In death, his hatred of the 'scaly bastards', caused him to live on as a Poe. He lingered around his Kakariko grave for many years, and still does to this day, thinking of ways to get revenge on the Lizalfos in general without putting himself at risk of his lantern being broken.
Personality: Thanks to his Poe nature, he tends to generally be ticked or annoyed by everyone. Cocky and (very) normally annoyed or ticked about something. Despite his attitude he is a loyal 'person' to have around...as long as you don't piss him off. Works for, as he puts it, the highest bidder, current 'bidders' being the good people of Hyrule who are letting him kill those whom killed him once before(Lizalfos). And he knows when to show respect when it's due to those who deserve it, which to him not many do deserve it.

Armor: His Iron Knuckle body
Weapons: Battle Ax
Accessories: Poe Lantern, which is hidden.

  • Axe Space - Can summon his axe to him at will and easily send it away in the same manner.
  • Poe Flame - Calls forth ghostly wisps of fire to burn opponents.
  • Poltergeist - When close to an object he can transfer a small part of his spirit into said object to fling it at a target. (Limit of object is a weight of 20 lbs.)

OK ppl, I am planing on reviving this thing. If anyone wants to make new chars and/or join in. Now is the time.

Those of you who are already in it and intend on rejoining, should it be a complete restart or start at the attack on the castle town. I had intinally planned to start us in kakariko village after the attack.

I'm making this post to verify a couple things, here I will make a small list of what you can play as.

For the monster bit, as you all can see, I have a Poe/Iron Knuckle char. If you all want to play as a monster type, IM me on aim or PM if im not on aim and we can talk about working something out for what you wanna do.

Final note: No sheikah character, sorry but Impa was the last one.

Appearance: 6'2, and very round. Which makes him about the size of a tall, very fat man, but short and squat compared to an average Goron. Has tribal tattoos running up his muscled arms and his back, and rocky protrusions on his chest, arms, belly and back that give the illusion of a very hairy man. Has a rocky protrusion on his head that looks suspiciously like a topknot and one on his chin that juts out like a spiky beard.
Background: Aspiring Goron chef who wishes to spread Goron-inspired cuisine to the rest of the world, even if most Goron foods would be unpalatable to plain suicidal for other races to eat. To this end, has been traveling around Hyrule and other lands in search of ways to adapt Goron cuisine to other peoples and places.
Personality: Quick to a good drink (however caustic) and good food (no matter how unpalatable), Gregoro would fit in as the jolly fat man in the middle of each tavern, if he could fit through the door without wrecking it. Would rather try to make one's acquaintance than marginalize another, with traditional Goron hospitality. Very eager to push one of his home-made dishes on those he considers friends, though, which is why he probably doesn't have many.

Equipment
Armor: Leather apron, heavy robe, chef's hat
Weapons: His entire body. Otherwise, a damn well forged steel skillet.
Accessories: Belt containing a few small vials and various cooking cutlery, an Adult's Wallet. Backpack about the size of him covered in patches denoting the places he's gone to - inside: a set of solid metal Hylian cooking tools, a collapsible fishing pole, a set of picks of various sizes, a flint he can strike against his own body for fire, various jars and containers of ingredients and spices he picked up, a few more empty containers.

Abilities -

  • Boulder Roll - Curl up into a fetal position and ROLL LIKE A MADMAN. Goron has higher defense and can still sense his surroundings while in this state, though cannot carry anything that doesn't fit with his hands. Accelerates faster going in a straight line or downhill. Limited maneuvering ability at high speeds.
  • Hard Rocked - Stone body renders Gorons resistant to heat and magma and tougher against physical attacks - however, also making them incredibly heavy and too dense to swim.
  • Unending Breath - Gorons do not need to breathe, allowing them to simply walk through and under a body of water.

Appearance: Pale white skin with ice blue eyes ringed by yellow. He has long pointed ears. His hair is short black with strands of deep blue. Since coming down to the hyrulian lands he has shaved and trimmed his hair to deal with the heat. He stands 5’3” and has broader shoulders then his twin but is wiry build, 155lbs.

Background: Regol was a twin born of the Nidale people. He and his brother Jarvan were twins of the Nidale tribe and were marked as a blessing from their gods. Despite being special they both were expected to pull their own weight in their tribe, which they did. At a young age they learned how to survive in the wilderness as well as learn the ways of the warrior. At the same time he and his twin were tested for magic. Where he lacked in magical power he made up for defending and weapons fighting. He became quite devoted in training to protect his tribe mates and undyingly devoted to his brother. As they both worked hard at the separate training they started to incorporate their magic with their warrior training to keep up with their brothers, shortly becoming a force to be reckoned with. They specialized in pair fighting where Regol was normally the defensive one and Jarvan was the offensive. They worked at strengthening them selves if they were to get separated by training against each other were their flaws became strikingly obvious to those watching their skills. They never spoke of the whispers they heard from their gods except to the shaman. The shaman influenced them to learn their religion in greater depth and learn to interperate what they were hearing.
Eventually rumors reached their tribe of the Sacred Realm and the triforce, which their leader was skeptical of at first. Once word reached them that people were starting to fight was when their tribe leader realized the rumors were true. Quickly their tribe gathered to arms to set upon Hyrule to take the triforce for them selves to prevent people’s ill wishes from affecting them as well as a large-scale raid to take women for their tribe so they may have a larger tribe. They started out for battle at the age of 17. They engaged in minor skirmishes and raids at first not wishing to weaken them selves too quickly on minor fights on smaller tribes. Shortly after the first year they ran into a group of dark mages which decimated their force. As a last resort they called on the worse destructive magic they could to protect them selfs and the last group of their brothers. Exhausted magically the twins were pulled from the battle by their brothers and retreated away from the vile mage group as they retreated to recuperate from their losses. For the next two years they would hit hard and fast, taking what they could to send back to their. After each attach the twins and the one other magic user would be exhausted from expending so much energy that when they were captured they had no energy to fight back when the Hyrulians found their rag tag group shortly before they became 21.
They watched their tribe brothers dwindle away from the terror’s inflicted upon them. Distress tore at them as they watched their tribesmen die before them. Regol quietly withdrew into him self within a month only responding to his twin when probed. He listened to the whisperings of his gods and his twin to escape from their situation. The last thing he recalled was being taken to a chamber where his brother and he were bound into strange contraptions. Last he remembers is drifting off during a ritual.

Personality: He is a bit quieter then his brother and even quicker to jump on something that is bothering him. He is more passive then his brother in some ways but quicker to clash with men. With women he will attempt to woo them like his brother but will end up trying to impress women through acts. He has little patience for others out side his tribe and women out side his tribe. He is also a highly devoted follower of their gods. He believes Ganon to be a Hyrulian thus his enemy, but admittedly powerful, too much for both him and his twin to stand alone against. Much like his brother he still believes the civil war is still raging on.

Appearance: Pale white skin, ice blue eyes with yellow rings, long pointed ears. He has short black hair with streaks of deep blue that only shows in bright light. He has come to dislike the heat of the lower lands and much like his twin has done. He is lean and wiry standing 5’3” and weighting 138 lbs.

Background: Born from the Nidale clan, and from a twin birth he was seen as a blessing. This did not mean he or his twin got special treatment since every one in the clan needed to carry his own weight. He entered into the basic warrior training of the men of his village a well as basic magic tests to test for magic. He and his twin like all twins of the village showed an affinity for magic. He continued on the warrior training and started to incorporate his magic into it. In his mid teens He and his twin were considered a force to be reckoned with because their magical and warrior attributes that they have learned. But they were content with their life with their tribe only fighting to protect it until the word came to them about the Sacred Realm. Their leader was In different to the rumors for a while until news got back that other races where fighting for it to dominate the realm and the triforce. Fearing that those wishes good and ill would bother those of the mountain they joined into the fray for their own reasons.
At the age of 17 the twins set out with a troop of their people to inflict their damage and eventually ran across those of powerful magic. They fought those of the dark magic for a short scuffle before retreating after inflicting their own damage. Jarvan used his greatest magic to cover and destroy those he could and was laid up for two weeks from exhausting him self magically do create a small divot in the other group’s force. Both him and his twin were damaged in the onslaught, along with some of their men that survived from the magical onslaught. Devastated by the magical attack they resorted to gorilla warfare They kept up what they could, not wanting to risk another devastating attack like they did. Shortly before they turned twenty one they were captured with what was left of their men, while they were exhausted from their last attack.
Information was extracted from them and their men about where they came from before they were placed into a device that froze the Twins’ time.

Personality: He is a good man just battle hardened so he will act fist and think later. When it comes to girls he will flirt with any thing until they harm him physically in some manner. He is highly religious and does belief his gods talk to him and his twin since they are blessed ones. He still believes the war is going on and has no reason to take prisoners unless they are women or if they need information.

  • Landspout – creates a controlled tube tornado that can cause severe damage if Jarvan was to put all his focused and magic into it. Leaves him very drained to go all the way for a week or more. F3: 200-500 meters (up root trees), F2: 100-250 meters, (light-object missiles generated.) F1: 30-150 meters (moving autos pushed off the roads), F0:10-50 metters (Some damage to chimneys; branches broken off trees)
  • Wind shield - creates a wall of shifting wind.
  • Artic blast - Ice cold wind blows people and items back
  • Wind shot- Helps an arrow shot go farther, hit harder, and alter course
  • Wind Step - can use the wind to speed up his speed.

They are a tribe that produces mainly men. Once every 100 years they produce a female or even rarer, a female set. Generally she is treated and pampered like a princess by the men of the tribe as being their only naturally born woman but she is trained in the way of a warrior. To keep their population up they leave the mountains to take or woo women back to their village. On principle they keep the women happy as they can even the ones they take even though those tend to take time.
The females of the group are Oracles of the tribe, the only ones to have direct contact with the dreamer. Men of the race can hear her but only her songs in their dreams or see her sleeping form. Never can they interact with the god but the women seem to speak of the goddess waking up and talking to them. It is assumed that the women are parts of the goddess in human form hence why they are the only ones they can speak to this god. But so far they have been able to show an unnatural knowledge of what is to happen.
They are a highly tribal society with alliances to others of their race. They may not always get a long but they have rules to challenges never going full out on each other due to their genetic disposition. Arguments are ended by a show of sportsman ship, games, a show of skilled group dance, or a fight to a number of blood cuts drawn if not to the death. They do not wish for it to get to a fight to the death but it does happen periodically.
Twins and triplets are normally seen as bearers of magical aptitude connected to natural magic that comes from their gods they worship. All twins are marked as different from those in their tribe, by some kind of marking. This ranges from unusual coloration, birthmarks, or in rare occasions a shared birth defect. Just because the gods mark them does not mean they can slack off in the tribe. They are expected to carry the same duties as others in the tribe as well as the extra training to hone their magical skills. Their specialized roll in the tribe was to use their magic to alter the harsher weather away from the tribe as well as keep interlopers away from their territories and their allies. If they have other magical abilities they are used to their full advantage for the tribe. They are recognized in having separate bodies but it is believed they are connected by mind and spirit. It is noted that the twins or triplets do not last long if it comes down to one is still alive. The last twin or triplet is most often known to die within a few months of losing their other sibling
GODS
The Element (Hoha)
The god of the elements is known to have many faces or bodies. Twins and those of multiple births are to be touched by the god. Most in particular those that are of elemental magic. The elemental god is known to all extremes from the gentle war day to a violent blizzard. It is thought that the god can be quelled by enacting the powers of his gifted to sooth the raging heart or to evoke the rage of their god when fighting those that dare to attack those of their race.
It is believed every one has a pull to a particular element that will always protect them weather it is the blinding snow to hide their tracks or the caves that keep them warm in the cold, every one has a special connection to one element.
The Beast (Torgaz)
This god is belief to take the shape of wild animals never a human. To appease the beast every one that comes to age goes out to find the animal that they have a connection to. After finding their spiritual partner they carve a figurine and a pendent of the animal that they keep with them. Also once a year there is a celebration where people make a sacrifice to appease the wild untamable nature of the god. Some people go far enough to copy some of the behaviors of their chosen animal.
The Dreamer (Linunel)
She is their only female god. She is believed to be in a deep sleep until oracles come where she communicated to the females that are born to the race. She is never spoken of as ever being awake. She gives insights on what will happen but never the out come of the events in question.

Appearance: She stands around 4' 8'' and has a typical female zora look(think Ruto). She has Violet eyes and wears a blue dress most of the time. She has a light set of waterproof leather armor if she has to be in combat. She has a pair of 'earrings' resembling the zora's sapphire, in shape only.
Background: Ever since she was young, Laru had a lovely singing voice. She would often sing at many celebrations or any events that took place at the zoran domain. If there was a festival in town she would sure to be there as well to share her songs with the crowd. Along with her voice, Laru was quite skilled at playing the harp she received from her mother as a birth(hatchday?)day gift when she was young, along with her mother's earrings.
Personality: She is a kind and caring individual. When playing for crowds she enjoys providing her audience with a good song or two and tries to lighten the mood of tense moments with a soothing melody if possible. When approached personally however, she gets a bit shy with up-close contact and interaction and gets a bit nervous. Doesn't like to fight but will if she has no other choice.

Armor: Light waterproof leather armor.
Weapons: Short Bow and dagger.
Accessories: Harp, Quiver, earrings from her mother.

Appearance: Daru looks pretty much like your average Skull Kid, bark-like skin, clothes made out of tough and durable plants, but when it comes to his face, he’s a bit different. Unlike his kin, Daru lacks the signature glowing eyes and “beak.” In fact his face seems like utterly featureless darkness, save for a seem that is barely noticeable until he smiles or otherwise opens his mouth. When he smiles it can be rather creepy as his teeth shift between a normal Hylian’s and fangs, sometimes while you look at them.
Background: Daru’s memories of what he used to be, or if he ever was anything but a Skull Kid, are long forgotten; a fact which never really bothered him. He’s quite content to while away the time playing his didgeridoo, fiddling with herbs and other various plants, or pranking people. Daru often accomplishes his mischief by dawning a tunic, trousers, and various other clothes and putting on a convincing mask crafted by his own hands.
This was the case during one of his bigger pranks when he snuck into a magician’s house and stole a book that called out to him. It was a tome of shadow magics that fascinated Daru and even had an interesting spell on masks. It allowed him bind another’s shadow to a mask, allowing he wearer to assume that being’s form. Naturally the first thing he tried it out on was his Hylian mask which now gives him the guise of an average Hylian man.
Personality: Prone to boredom by nature, Daru tends to goof off and cause mischief but never half-asses anything he thinks is worthwhile.

  • Cheshire Smile- can disappear into thin air and reappear at will
  • Herbal Mischief- thanks to his fiddling with plants in his spare time, which is most of his time, Daru can create a wide variety of things including powder shots that have a blinding and intoxicating effect on the target
  • Magical Mayhem- thanks to the book he has stolen and a latent talent for it, Daru is capable of casting a growing list of spells.
    • Mask Maker- after crafting a mask in the likeness of another he can bind their shadow to it, making the wearer a copy of that individual.
    • Shadow Rift- can travel via shadows, be they his own or anything else's, and darkness as long as the shade is big enough for him to fit through.
  • Shadowsight- can see in complete darkness
